This is one of those posts I didn’t plan on doing. Really!
But you see, that clip of the BackSync rehearsal has been spreading all through the media. And of course being who I am, I can’t help but end up watching it again and again. And…I’m sort of low key addicted to that bye bye…baaaaabyyyy belt that he does. It’s like a drug, okay. Apparently all I ever need to get fully into NSYNC songs was to have Nick Carter doing his trademark legend status belting on the song. Who knew? And for those who are absolutely been under a rock, let me link you to this. Because honestly, it’s a must.
So now I want the entire thing, sung by Nick. Hell it doesn’t even need to be recorded. Just jump on Instagram and sing it for us live Nick. Or Twitch. We’re not picky here. But now that we’ve gotten a taste, we want more. What can I say? You know your fans are a bit greedy…maybe spoiled. Sorry not sorry!
But like think about it guys. I had no idea that his voice would not only suit the Timberlake parts, but JC’s as well? I knew he was versatile but holy hell y’all! Call it curiosity but I’d love to know his take on the song, doing it his way with his vocal flair and his own creative spin. Sometimes my brain backfires on me and gets me imagining way ahead of myself. That’s why I’m pleading here with you Nick, to give us this.
And since we tragically haven’t gotten a release of Girl I Knew yet, nor have we gotten any recordings of the covers you slayed on The Masked Singer, this isn’t a lot to ask, is it? And even if it is…you love us, right? So if you’re just itching for something to do on what downtime you have between three babies, or if you just want to give us a little something…think about it. Hell if you want to throw in It’s Gonna Be Me or your favorite NSYNC song I Want You Back, we wouldn’t say no to those either. (Okay for real, we know you’ve been busy. So it’s okay we haven’t gotten those things. But hey, in the words of Passionate ‘All I want is everything’.) In fact we’d be thrilled but we’re also okay with you just giving us Bye Bye Bye for now.
You can’t blame us Nick, not really.
It’s not our fault you’re so good at everything you sing. That you set so crazy a standard.
